Tomáš Verčimák is involved in volunteer work with a non-profit organization providing assistance services to clients at branches of the Asylum and Migration Policy Department of the Ministry of the Interior.
As part of providing social services (professional social counseling), Tomáš Verčimák works as a lawyer specializing in immigration law and methodically leads a team of intercultural workers. He also teaches adaptation and integration courses for newly arrived foreigners.
Tomáš Verčimák completes an internship as a trainee lawyer at a Prague law firm specializing in general practice, immigration, and asylum law, and later becomes a member of the Czech Bar Association as an independent lawyer. During his practice, he participates in commenting on draft foreign legislation within the non-profit sector and in teaching students at the Faculty of Humanities at the Department of Management and Supervision in Social and Health Organizations.

Tomáš Verčimák, together with other colleagues who are immigration lawyers, co-founded the Association of Immigration Lawyers in the Czech Republic, whose main goal is to promote good immigration law in the application practice of public authorities, but also in legislation – all with special regard to the interests of lawyers and their clients from among foreigners.
In connection with legislative activities in the field of foreigners‘ rights, Tomáš Verčimák has become a member of the Czech Bar Association’s working group for foreigners‘ rights, where he actively participates with other colleagues in commenting on key legislative proposals and negotiating with stakeholders.
